A wearables solution for safety
for one of the world's leading designers, manufacturers and marketers of automotive products for original equipment and aftermarket customers, with approximately 66,000 team members working at more than 200 sites worldwide.
The challenge
The company is taking precautions in order to protect the health of their employees. In order to do this, we pitched them wearables equipped with fall detection and an interface to intervene if necessary.
Project specs:
15 watch face UIs
A flow of events and response options
A graph of acceleration and the watch response
All faces delivered
From a scheduling change to fall detection, the wearables interface is designed to allow for increased communication, wellbeing, and safety.
User flow
The graph shows a potentially dangerous event. The fall detection question has been triggered on the watch. If they are okay, they can acknowledge that. If they are not okay, they can request help. If the employee does not answer, help is sent to their location.
Acceleration graph
This image depicts the pre-, post-, and during employee acceleration graph and the employee UI vs the manager UI.
