Our Team

Marisa

Role: Showroom environment creation, UI design and functionality

Sukhada

Role: Car commercial environment creation, Camera animation

Objectives

  • Create a car showroom that showcases sports cars and a car commercial in order to immerse car enthusiasts in their dream environment

Design Choices

  • Create a futuristic showroom

  • Include calm and sophisticated sound elements (voice overs, background music)

  • Add a futuristic-looking user interface for user autonomy with the experience

Interactive elements

  1. User begin in a waiting room - the first interaction is the “begin experience button”. This acts as the main menu and allows users to get set up with the headset and acquainted with the screen / lighting / volume before entering the showroom.

  2. The second, third, and fourth interactions allow the users to choose from the menu to view different cars. These interactions are initiated by the UI buttons in the environment and are prompted by the voice over instructions.

  3. The fifth interaction is the “view commercial” button where the user can sit back and watch the 2D video in the 3D environment. This commercial depicts 3 cars in various scenes and is meant to illustrate the different capabilities of the cars.

  4. And lastly, the user can exit the experience by clicking on the “go to menu” button.

Pre-production

  1. First, the team ideated: “What did we want to create? What are we passionate about?”

2. Once we had our idea, we got to sketching and writing down our ideas, capturing them on paper.

3. Then, we sorted out our interactive elements and how we would make it more immersive.

4. And lastly, we created our final sketches before starting on the project digitally.
