Day 5 - Design an App Icon

Woo! I’m excited about this one. I love designing logos and icons. Now….what to design for…? A bakery? An online school? A car app?

Time to look for inspiration!

Okay, I’m back with inspiration and a little perspiration. Here is what I’m thinking:

Re-design Spotify’s App Icon

• iPhone app icon

• square

• corners rounded 24

• keep lime green color

• add something more obviously musical

• still keep it simple because of the times

This is what I came up with:

The app icon features a “record” look and a green “tone arm” to add in their brand color. It is perhaps more complex than I originally wanted, but I’d like to think it has more style than Spotify’s current logo.
